The Top 10 reasons to be excited about renovating our buildings: | 10. | We would replace the windows in the Parish Center, 77 years old, and the boiler, 53 years old. Many of the windows don’t close and the boiler looks like a train car. | 9. | The Chapel would be air conditioned. Our July brides will remember something about their Chapel wedding besides the heat. | | 8. | We would place kids’ Sunday School classes – nursery through fifth grade – on one floor. Our visitors won’t be lost for days trying to figure out where to drop off a kid or pick one up. | | 7. | An elevator would be added to the Parish Center. Everyone can get to every floor! | | 6. | The clock would be repaired. It is no longer high noon or midnight at the Parish Center. | | 5. | Youth would have their very own space. The Parish Center would, once again, be a cool meeting space for the youth of our community. | | 4. | The Chapel would be restored – roof repaired, windows fixed, water seepage eliminated, wood refinished. We can look forward it being the home to our most significant events for years to come. | | 3. | Our meeting rooms would be bright and welcoming. More of the community will be drawn to walk through our doors. | | 2. | The Parish Center auditorium would become a more sacred space for worship. More room, and more appeal, for our community to hear the life-altering message of Jesus. | | 1. | God gave us two of the most historic buildings in a very historic community. We have the responsibility to care for them. |
