"No Reserves. No Retreats. No Regrets."
In 1904 William Borden graduated from a Chicago high school. As heir to the Borden Dairy estate, he was already a millionaire. For his high school graduation present, his parents gave 16-year-old Borden a trip around the world. As the young man traveled through Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, he felt a growing burden for the world's hurting people. Finally, Bill Borden wrote home about his "desire to be a missionary."
One friend expressed surprise that he was "throwing himself away as a missionary."
In response, Bill wrote two words in the back of his Bible: "No reserves."

Encountering the Subversive Spirituality of Jesus
By Bruxy Cavey
"Many of the people I talk to have a problem – they want their
lives to have a deeper sense of meaning, purpose, and value but they
don’t want to turn to God to find it.
When I probe a little deeper I find that many people
don’t really want to give up on God at all, but have become spiritually
discouraged through their own negative religious experiences. For them,
maybe for you, church has become a boring monument of antiquated
irrelevant traditionalism. And who needs that?!

The fictional Admiral Janitorial Services has a problem: their employees are leaving in droves and they don't know what to do about it. Interpreting a series of employee surveys, the General Manager comes up with a solution that walks the thin line between genius and madness: hire a "Dream Manager," part life coach and part financial advisor, to help employees achieve their dreams. For example, one woman dreams of buying her first home, while one man hopes to find more time to spend with his family. In an unexpected twist, the Dream Manager even helps employees find new jobs when they no longer have room to grow in their current one. In THE DREAM MANAGER, bestselling author Matthew Kelly teaches employers how to bridge the gap between their employees' current jobs and the futures they dream of, making them happier and more loyal to the company. Complete with a section on tools to get you going, this inspiring book teaches an important lesson about self-fulfillment that applies both to the workplace, and life outside it.

Coming Back to the Heart of Worship
by Matt Redman
Open the eyes of your heart and let the gut-level message of The Unquenchable Worshipper cause you, like martyred missionary Jim Elliot, to say,
"Saturate me with the oil of Thy Spirit, that I may be aflame. Make me Thy fuel O flame of God."
The Unquenchable Worshipper issues a passionate call for a return to an unadulterated, first-love lifestyle of worship. In his first book release, respected worship leader and songwriter Matt Redman writes: "The revelation of God is the fuel for the fire of our worship. And there is always more fuel for the fire. When we open the eyes of our heart, God's revelation comes flying at us from so many different angles."

“The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:20-21Have you ever had a child make a beeline to the one thing you told them they could not do? The giving of the Law to Moses predictably led to more sin. The purpose of the Law was to point people to Christ, by revealing our need for God. No one can ponder the Ten Commandments very long without realizing that they are impossible to keep! As Paul said in Galatians 3:24-25 the Law was like a schoolmaster (King James Version), or better yet, a Greco-Roman “tutor-bodyguard!” The Law would lead us to Christ by revealing our true spiritual poverty (See Matthew 5:3).
While the Law pointed out the abundance of sin, God’s provision of grace in Jesus was even more abundant. Grace “increased all the more” is actually the translation of “overflow” from verse 15 above, with “hyper” added. So we can read it this way: where sin became abundant, God’s grace “hyper-overflowed.” So no matter how much sin we have and death we deserve, Jesus totally overwhelms our darkness!
Summing up Romans Chapter 5, Paul has made it clear that our forgiveness and justification is just the beginning of God’s overflowing grace. He has made it clear that there is so much more beyond for us, because God’s grace is so plentiful and unlimited. In other words, it is way better than you think!
Pray that God would help you understand His grace. Praise his abundant generosity toward you. Pray that you would hunger for more of what God has for you. We only experience God’s blessings by faith, so ask God for an extra measure of faith, so you can “see” more of what He’s done for you, and appropriate more of His blessings into your life. Ask Jesus to “hyper-overflow” his grace into your day. Practice noticing his grace and thanking him all day for it!.

This week we remember the Cross, and the Passion of our Christ. Reflect on this amazing sacrifice Jesus made for you. What will you be most grateful for this week?
“On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’ After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ And with that he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.’” John 20:19-23
We will also celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection. Read the text above slowly. Receive His peace. Feel His breath on your neck. Ask the Holy Spirit to point out any forgiving you need to do. Write down the names of the people you need to forgive. Talk to each person this week. Celebrate Easter filled with His presence.

If 9/11 are the numbers of terror and despair, then 3:16 are the numbers of hope. Perhaps the best-known verse in the Bible, its words encapsulate the fundamental truth of Christianity, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son ...." In 3:16: The Numbers of Hope, bestselling author Max Lucado delves into this "hope diamond of the Bible" phrase by life-changing phrase. Concluding the study with a 40 day devotional snapshot of Jesus' life, taken from Max's writings, grounds the verse in the greater
context of who Jesus was. Whether you're a newcomer to the Bible or a veteran believer, explore the implications of God's parade of hope: He loves. He gave. We believe. We live.
