Come be refreshed at
The Well
Wednesdays, 7-8p
Parish Center Lounge |
MCC's Wednesday evening gathering is changing. The Well is a time to be refreshed through worship and the Word. Each week, we'll focus on a prayer from scripture as we worship and pray together. There's freedom to pray out loud or silently, or just to rest in His presence. Bring your personal prayer needs as well. We'll have a time of ministry at the end. Leaders are available to pray with you for healing and other needs in your life.

I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be
silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest,
and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the
praise of the earth.
Isaiah 62: 6-7
Is God calling you to join The Watch?
God is on the move at MCC. He is renovating our hearts even as we’re renovating our buildings. We believe God is calling us to cover our pastors and church with more intentional prayer. The Watch is a group of people called and dedicated to pray daily for our pastors, their families, and MCC. This happens on your own time, in your own way, as the Spirit leads. You’ll receive our prayer email, Vertical, as well as any special requests from our pastors. For those interested, we’ll also meet from time to time to pray together. If you feel the Spirit’s leading, please contact Susan Carson.
Grace and peace,
Susan Carson

| There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem. (Luke 2:36-38 NIV) | Advent is a season of holy waiting. An anticipation of the coming of Christ, Emmanuel, God with us. Anna lived a life of holy waiting. Worshiping, fasting, praying expectantly that God would fulfill his promise to this people. What must that moment have been life for her? She had given her life to one thing, a holy waiting for the Messiah. Finally, at the age of 84, she sees Jesus. And in response, she thanks God and tells others about the baby. What joy she must have known. Finally, she was in his presence. | |
