Making changes in our lives is always so hard, isn’t it? Imagine trying to change the whole course of your life. That is what the women participating in Having the Courage to Change are doing. They have led lives dominated by abuse in one way or another that has in many cases, evolved into crime. Now, willing to unlock their incarcerated minds, they are starting a new journey. A journey of transformation inside and out.

Combining grace, discipline and worship, the God Squad’s Princesses Ballet helps young urban girls build confidence in themselves and their faith. The discipline required to perform ballet helps the children learn a strong work ethic while building character and self-esteem. Children in Princesses Ballet share their faith and practice discipleship. They receive valuable spiritual guidance and caring support that helps them grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and choose the right paths in life. The ministry also helps youth through creating lasting relationships between kids, parents, and churches that promote ongoing encouragement, support, and fellowship. |

In this video witness the smiles, hugs and lots of fun experienced by students and volunteer tutors on the first day of Whiz Kids at John P. Parker Elementary School. New students met their tutors for the first time while returning students and tutors were happy to be back in school. We spent time getting acquainted, decorating our supply bags, and filling them with supplies donated by you and the community. Parents were invited to come for refreshments and to meet their child’s tutor. |
