"In the belief that the Kingdom of God can be
more speedily advanced and the spiritual needs of Mariemont vicinity
can be best served by uniting all Christian believers in their worship,
fellowship and Christian work, this church is founded."
--Mary Muhlenberg Emery, 1926
Today, May 4, we rededicated the Chapel to the service of the Lord after months of renovations. Inspired by the heart of founder Mary Emery, Joy Norman shared a brief history of the Chapel after a video of construction and reconstruction produced by Mark Lawry. We welcomed honored guests from the Emery Foundation and Oswald Construction. Coffee and refreshments were served on the newly stone-paved patio.
Enjoy photos of the services here. Download the dedication outline here .
May 4 at 9a, we'll begin an 18-week walk through the roughly 50
things Jesus
expressly taught his followers to do. However, the focus will not be on what,
but how. Here's an opportunity to enter into the climax of the great
commission, "teaching them to
observe all that I have commanded you," personally and as preparation
to teach others. Join us
each Sunday at Dale Park Middle School, lower level ... You'll be glad
you did.
For more information, contact Zeke Swift, Mike Cambron or John Cofskey.

... “Do you understand what you are reading?” Phillip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Phillip to come up and sit with him.” -Acts 8:26-40
Making changes in our lives is always so hard, isn’t it? Imagine trying to change the whole course of your life. That is what the women participating in Having the Courage to Change are doing. They have led lives dominated by abuse in one way or another that has in many cases, evolved into crime. Now, willing to unlock their incarcerated minds, they are starting a new journey. A journey of transformation inside and out.
The Cross of Jesus stands at the intersection of eternity and world history. It is the most important event in humanity, as measured by the ubiquity of Bibles, churches, Christian art, literature and changed lives. Yet it is also the supreme problem in higher criticism, philosophy, and the most misunderstood event in human history. As Paul wrote: “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God” (1 Cor. 1:18).
